Cactus Cup

Forget the trails. If you really want your blood to pump then take your bike through Cactus Cup. This is an official race route that is used for an annual national competetion every spring. However, the Cactus Cup race route is open to bikers like you and me every day.

There are three loops to the Cup that equal a cumulative 14 miles. A more peaceful, yet equally enjoyable, route can be found on nearby Pemberton Trail. Cactus Cup, however, has no speed limits so you can really let it all go.

Getting There: From the Valley, take the Beeline Highway east and turn left on Shea Blvd. Continue to Fountain Hills Blvd. and follow signs to McDowell Mountain Park. Trail maps are available at the park office.
