Christiansen Trail

In between the time I spend cleaning out my garage and visiting my favorite website, I've been squeezing in some time to research articles for this site. Over the course of this study, I discovered that every trail in the Phoenix metropolitian area has been assigned a unique number. For example, Peralta Trail is also called #102. And Squaw Peak's Summit Trail rounds out at #300.

For some reason, Dreamy Draw takes things in the opposite direction. Trails are known primarily by their number, but also have a less well-known descriptive name. I prefer the descriptive name so I will call this trail Christiansen Trail, but many people also know it as Trail #100. The Arizona Road Racers, who stage a race here every first weekend in January, call it by both names.
